This author is totally new to me, but when I read the first part of it I couldn't put it down, I love how Priest is seen as such a closed book to everyone because of his condition but in reality he is the most open in the story. Georgie is by far my favourite character, she has had a troubled past like most of us, but she gets up day in and day out, doing her job to the best she can. She's brave and that's all anyone ever wants to be. The story itself is worded so wonderfully, the search for these missing children. The owner stumbling in and out every few chapters, a young girl hidden in a basement being abused by those she doesn't know, but a woman who she thought of as a somewhat mother. The tortured souls who keep winding up dead, by asphyxiation. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely be buying other books by this author.
