I absolutely loved the mayfly from this author and therefore I was throughly looking forward to the ash doll by the same author. It follows the same main character Charlie Priest who is an interesting and complex man. Yet again the author leads you on a journey full of twists and turns to find out who the killer is. It was a quick page turner and easy to read, with the same writing style as the Ash Doll, I really enjoyed reading this book.
The ending was a surprise and definitely kept me going until the end. I find the characters fascinating and their individual story lines fit in well with this individual story line.
Anyone who enjoys thrillers and crime thrillers in particular should pick this book up and give it a read. I'm really looking forward to reading more books from this author, as he is a brilliant writer, and I hope there will be more with Charlie Priest in!
