This is a fantastic, well paced crime thriller from a relatively new author, who I hope to read a lot more of in the future.
The book starts in courtroom with the disappearance, later to be found dead, of a key witness in a libel case.
Charlie Priest is the lawyer whose witness was killed and he begins to investigate, uncovering much more than he bargained for along the way.
Priest is a really complex but likeable character..he has a convicted serial killer brother, and a personality disorder, and I think he could quickly become a major leading character in crime fiction.
The book is well paced and easy to read,but with a number of twists throughout which had me hooked from start to end.
I'd highly recommended this book, and look forward to the next from this author.
