I read and enjoyed James Hazels first book The Mayfly and couldn't wait to read The Ash Doll and certainly wasn't disappointed.
Charlie Priest is an intriguing character. He is a lawyer who is an ex policeman. He suffers from disassociative disorder. His Assisi is Georgie who is a really likeable character. They work well together and I really warmed to them
The star witness in Charlie's latest case turns up dead on the morning of the trial.
This is only the first of a series of gruesome murders that protect a deadly secret which may affect Charlie and his loved ones.
I loved this book. It's well written with characters that are likeable. The reader is gripped from the start and isn't let go until the end. Can't wait got the next book.
