As a casual fan of the Bard, I was drawn to this novel. I've not read the previous books by this author, but I was intrigued by the idea of conspiracy and murder in these "lost years" of Shakespeare. The cover gave tantalizing details, and, once inside, I appreciated the nod to the plays as the novel is introduced via a cast and a list of the "acts". The first scene is thrilling, set in a church where all is not as it seems. I can't wait to read more!
