All I can say is wow!! This is a totally original premise, to me at least. A change to the penal system means that victims are now obligated to hold those convicted of crimes against them in their own home, in a specially made cell, for the duration of their sentence.
This is the situation that Hannah finds herself in after her husband is murdered - she has to accommodate Jem (the man convicted of the murder) in the home she shared with her husband.
This was completely engrossing - the time it is set in feels familiar to our now, but there is this spectre of having to live with the person responsible for your misery and anguish thrown into that normality.
I can't wait to read the rest of this!
