The book cover is enticing and definitely book that I would take of a shelf in a bookshop. I was completely gripped by this book from the first paragraph. The atmosphere builds with a sinister edge which gave me chills at times. Fascinating concept to have a prisoner cell in the house. Great first impression. I really would like to read more as I want to know how the story unfolds. Is Jem really innocent?
