Wow, what a book! I absolutely love it when an author has a plot that is totally different to anything that I have ever read before - and Deborah O'Connor certainly did this.
A change in the prison system means that criminals now spend their sentence in a cell inside the home of their victim/the victim's family. A form of 'restoration'.
A unique idea which sees Hannah, the widow of a Met Police Officer playing host to Jem, the man charged with her husband's murder.
The characters are all introduced very well and I loved at the end of the book looking back and realising what 'clues' the author had placed that I hadn't realised were clues at the time!
Very pacy and with lots of twists and turns, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely look to read some more books by this author. I really didn't want the book to end!
