A very okay read!
I have only read a Deborah O’Connor book before “My Husband’s Son” and I didn’t especially like it, so I wasn’t too sure if I would pick this one up!
However, I have seen it everywhere on Instagram and because I found the audiobook, I decided to give it a try!
I quite liked the start of this story. After reading so many thrillers, it’s difficult for me to get gripped so easily from the start, but this one did it.
I also enjoyed how the story was developed, the twists and turns that there were throughout it and the end!
At some point, I thought the story was dragging for a little it and I found myself losing some interest. However, as I said, the end was good and satisfying and made that dragging kind of worth it! In fact, there was a final twist that I didn't see coming and that I quite liked!
Overall, a very okay read, entertaining and perfect for people that are starting to read thrillers!
