Wow! this book did it all. I really like the authors writing and the way she fully goes into detail about everything making the whole book feel so surreal. She’s a writer who explores such unique ideas and don't stick with the same plot every author does - this makes her books interesting and compelling to read. Thriller and suspense books are never my favourite however i recommend everyone to give this a go even if this isn’t your typical genre. The authors use of tension and emotions make you feel as if you go through it with the character and this makes a very good book. I bonded with the characters especially Jem. However, i do think at times the writing does slow down and it can take a while to get back to the actual plot. This isn’t a major problem however. The initial attraction i had to this book was the cover and it was what drew me in due to the cold eerie feeling. I would recommend this book.
