I thought it was a very interesting story, particularly about the change in the justice system resulting in the assailant being caged in the victim's house. I thought that made for a very interesting premise upon which to build a plot. The story follows Hannah as she has her husband's murderer living in a cage in her kitchen for the duration of his sentence. The book follows the story of both Hannah and the prisoner as well as the events that led up to her husband's murder, allowing you to piece together more bits as you read. There were definitely twists I didn't see coming and things that didn't completely fall into place until the very end of the book which was good, as it kept you guessing as much as possible throughout the story.

I really liked the cover of the book and how the story was divided into different viewpoints between Hannah and the prisoner.
