I hadn’t read this author before so always keen to try new writing.
I love how this site gets us reading new authors I things I wouldn’t pick for myself.
When I first started to get into this book.
This book was one of the best I’ve read this year so far!!
I thought I might struggle to get into and didn’t think it was for me.
I assumed very wrongly that it would be based around Hannah and Jem and just the kitchen cell in which it starts…couldnt put it down and
Wanted to know how it ended!
I was wonderfully surprise utterly, ultimately proved wrong with the characters and stories developed further into the book.
So
I was soon very captivated by The Captive!!!
I would read Deborah O’Connor again! I will be passing this book on to friends and colleagues or bookswaps. I will be getting my friends to sign up to Readers First too.
