The idea of this book is both brilliant and abhorrent. To come face-to-face with someone who has wronged you in any situation is always going to be challenging. But to have a convicted killer of your close relation in your kitchen for the length of their sentence is mind-boggling.

In fact their sentence becomes yours too, as you are unable to carry on normal life in any way, knowing they are in the centre of your home. Being unable to 'give them back' to the penal system, or leave them to their own devices for any length of time is wholly horrific.

The first half-three quarters of this book kept my attention, then it began to waiver, becoming a little cliche. This was a shame as it was so good initially. I liked the way the story unfolded from two perspectives, but the other characters were not very believable.

I still recommend this book, just for the way it gets you thinking, truly original.
