I really enjoyed this book, although it did have a bizarre theme. I don't even know if something like this is even possible. I would have found it difficult to live in the same space as someone who had killed a member of my family, so I couldn't put myself in her shoes. I was quite nervous about the arrival of the prisoner. I kept expecting him to turn on our character and frighten her, but he didn't. I'm sure there will be a few altercations before the end of the book though. The details of how the prisoner would live in the house was good. It had good imagination and research. I liked the character who had cancer and I felt for him. Great detail about his hair falling out. Our heroine thought about his feelings, even though she was wrapped up in a terrible situation. The old lady next door was a sad, but colourful character, whose antics amused me. I would be interested in reading this book.
