This book is about Hannah who’s detective husband John has been murdered and with the new justice system, the criminal is sent to live in a jail installed in the victim’s surviving family’s home in the hope that he will learn the true cost of their crime. So, Jem is sent to serve his 20- year sentence in Hannah’s kitchen. But soon, Jem begins to tell Hannah that he is innocent and that her Husband has been lying to her. Hannah begins to question everything she thought she knew and try’s to unlock the truth!
I loved this book! The concept was so original and unique, I have never read anything like it before. It was packed with twists and turns along the way and it really kept me guessing!I couldn’t wait to find out what was going on. Such a great start the year with this one as my first read. I would definitely recommend picking it up or adding it to your wishlist!
