This book was brilliant! It's hard to find something unique nowadays that hasn't really been done before, but this one had such an original concept and was very cleverly written.
Just imagine a world where prisoners can serve their sentences in the houses of their victims. In this case Hannah has to live with Jem, the man who was convicted for killing her husband, John. Jem has to live in a cage in Hannah's kitchen and so she is forced to see him everyday. It's fascinating to see where their relationship goes and how she starts to question everything - did he really kill John or is there something more to it?
It's definitely a book that makes you think, I can't imagine wanting to live under the same roof as someone who had potentially destroyed my life but if I had to would I do it?
I feel this book definitely deserves five stars for being so original and I'll be looking out for the author's other books now as well!
