When I read the first look of this I was ‘captivated’ so I was ready to devour it when I got the chance to read the whole book.

I love a good thriller but they can sometimes get predictable but this was fresh, exciting and a really thrilling read!

So this has an original concept that the justice system has been reformed and rather than prisons criminals can now be forced to serve their sentence in the home of the person they wronged. The story starts with Hannah preparing the cage in her home that Jem, the man accused of killing her husband, will live in for twenty years! Obviously a worrying thing for her. What if he escapes?

There’s plenty of twists and secrets kept from us that gradually unfold with each chapter explaining how we’ve reached this point.

It’s a quick, easy read with short chapters that I like making it easy to jump in and out of.
