The Colours That Blind is about a 15 year old boy called Tumirai who has albinism.
I was really interested to read this book from the first impression I saw, and I thought it sounded like it would tell a really interesting story as well as being educational about other cultures. Unfortunately I've really struggled to get into the story and haven't been able to get through the book yet - which is most unlike me! I don't know whether it was that I found the subject matter too difficult to relate to, but I just didn't feel invested in the characters or what was happening. It felt just slightly more slow-paced than the books I am used to reading. The book was well written but I just don't think it was for me unfortunately.
