Quite a good young adult read if you have some time to spare.
Set in nowadays but intertwined with colony days in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia then), before it was independent. I actually enjoyed the latter parts the most.

The protagonist - Tumirai has albinism and although he studies in international school he still feels standing out a bit too much, so he uses swimming to blend in, to be known for something other than his skin colour. Ir also helps him forget his tragic past that still causes him to have nightmares.

Because of those events he's not very close to his family, his grandparents to be exact.

The author creates parallel between him and his grandmother and enables the similarities in their experiences. Which develops the character of the protagonist and the way he sees the world around him.

To sum up, it is quite good, a little bit tragic and a little bit educational.
