This is my first time reading a book from Rutendo Tavengerwei and I love it so far. The inscription at the begining says, "hope is our only wing". That is the first thing that caught my attention. I love that saying. Then, I started reading the story. right from the start you are in the characters mind. I love how it alternates between first person descriptions and the character's thoughts. this way you get a deep sense of who the character is. I love finding out his goals, dreams, fears and the things that make him tick. This way of starting the novel makes me want to read the whole story. I believe this is an amazing page turner. The character names and some facts are a bit confusing but I think it will get easier as the story advances.
