This book- The colours that blind, is hard to read as it’s about a teenage Albino boy who attends school and is the only albino there. Naturally he felt like he didn’t belong.

The book has been written as two separate stories. The main part is about a boy called Tumi who suffers from Albinism. His story was particularly eye opening for me, as I was unaware of the prejudice ( in parts of Africa ) this conditions recieves.

The second part of the story is narrated by his grandmother who tells of the time she worked for a white family in Zimbabwe.

The stories are fast moving and very gripping. This story is told from a very unique perspective and it needs to be heard. From start to finish, I couldn't put it down because I just wanted to keep reading the book.

The publication of this book is particularly relevant as the Black Lives Matter campaign is on going. These stories need to be heard.
