This book The colours that blind, a very hard to read about a teenage Albino boy who attends school and is the only albino to attend it and he felt like an outsider.
The subject of this book is particularly relevant during the ongoing black lives matter.
The book has been written as two separate stories.
The main part is about a boy called Tumi who suffers from Albinism. His story was particularly eye opening for me, as I was unaware of the prejudice ( in parts of Africa ) this conditions recieves.
The second part of the story is narrated by his grandmother who tells of the time she worked for a white family during the Zimbabwe up bringing.
Sometimes it was hard to keep up with each story. But what a very gripping story from start to finish, I couldn't put it down because I just wanted to keep reading the book. Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
