Thank you to readers first for the opportunity to read and review this. A great read. Serious subject matter with a lovely fluff love story around it. Made me very happy to be on the organ donor register. Thus was a great look at relationships before and after a life saving organ transplant, this book really explores how those who both receive an organ and those around them. Some of the story seemed to be contrived, and it did take me a little while to get into the story but once I hit half way I was most definitely hooked.
I think the writer nailed the character of Ailsa, and handled the how someone on the waiting list might feel about life before and after perfectly. This book really puts things in perspective and is a great call for more people to sign up to the register. If you haven't, please do!
