I'm an organ donor. And proud of it. Which made reading this book all the more heartbreaking to me - the story of a woman who is saved by a donor, and has to struggle to live her life in the knowledge that her life is hers to take. She just doesn't know what to do with it.
The writing was beautiful, and the relationship between the two protagonists, Alisa and Seb, even more so. The exploration of life after illness and getting on without those you've loved and lost was especially interesting to read about, and one that I've never read about before. Some of the growth of the relationship felt very rushed and making Seb the massive TV star he was added a layer of fantasy that I didn't feel quite fitted into such a story. However, I loved it.
