Like the first book I read by Stephanie Butland, 'The Curious Heart of Ailsa Rae' is yet another beauty. A story of finding courage after being knocked off the horse too many times. And yet more than that, it is clearly well researched to, creating a clear message about the importance of organ donation, and placing it miles above all other books of its genre. I loved its unique form, the depth of character, how honest and raw the story line felt, and also the way that Stephanie draws together several seemingly unrelated ideas and makes you as passionate about them as she is. For example, it's now on my bucket list to go to tango lessons too. I highly recommend this book, and also urge you to check out her other book, 'Lost for Words'.
