I loved Stephanie Butlands previous book and was thrilled to receive The Curious heart of Ailsa Rae. The cover design is similar to the first book and is very appealing.
At the start of the book Ailsa is awaiting a hear transplant. She lives her life through her blog asking her followers advice before making decisions. She receives her heart which she calls Apple. At the same time she is struggling to cope with her best friend(who's also her ex boyfriend) death whilst waiting for a liver transplant.
Alisa has to learn how to live a normal life and trust herself to make her own decisions not rely on others. She also has to learn to love again.
This is an upbeat thoughtful book which addresses difficult subjects with humour and sensitivity. I would highly rec it.
