I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I found it a little hard to get into at first but found once in, I was hooked and couldn't get enough at the end. It is a sort of roundabout way, modern day Romeo and Juliette, involving organ transplants, blogging and coffee. Bizarre as that sounds, it is true. The author has managed to capture, very well, the feelings of a person who has resulted from a successful transplant. The ups and downs of what life was, how you think it's going to be, and then the realisation that life can be quite dull at times (it beats death though). Throughout the story, as Ailsa was rediscovering life, maybe for the very first time, and assessing what she wanted to do going forward, it made me think about what I was doing, the direction I am heading, and question if I am making the most of my life. This book, is no way near a self help book but it definitely gets the cogs whirring.
