Hooked from the First Page.

I was captivated from the first page, not an easy thing to do! I was genuinely sad when I reached the end of the sample. Instantly I had questions about “Alfie” and his actions and the writer has achieved the perfect balance of description and action.
I have nothing negative to say about this extract at all. The writing was elegant and complex, yet not to difficult to follow. The story was enthralling. The rhythm of the sentence lengths creates an easy read while also compelling me to turn the page. Excellent!
