This first impression read looks like it could turn out to be a very dark and suspenseful one.
I like the cover, it is fitting for the suspense/thriller genre and draws you in with its dark moody colours.
There are three different storylines at the beginning of this book, introducing four (possibly) main characters, there is good description and setting the scene, no doubt paving the way for a very twisting page turner.
I’m most drawn to the homeless man Alfie and am keen to learn more about his path and history.
You can see even in a few pages the threads beginning to weave the lives of these people together, I’m looking forward to reading the rest and finding out what happens, but I probably will have to make sure I don’t read it at night as I get the sense it’s going to get spooky!
