This was a great read with two solid main characters in Rachel who has temporarily escaped her London life after an ‘accident’ involving her partner and their home being broken happening within hours of each other leave her fearful for her safety and also journalist Caroline who has been advised by her boss to take time out following threat of legal action due to some articles she wrote. This isn’t particularly a fast paced thriller but it is engrossing as life at the Irish house hotel they are both staying at throws up more and more secrets and mysteries. Rachel and Caroline make a good team who balance each other out well and Rachel’s dog Jasper makes for a good extra team member. The action is well balanced out throughout the story and I like the dual aspect chapters alternating between the different eyes of both women. The story is well thought out and the truth when revealed is disturbing.
