It took me quite a while to get into this book and after a few chapters I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue reading. However, I kept going and halfway through it became much more interesting and gripping. It's a bit of a slow burner and only really gets into its stride halfway through the story.
The characters were well written and the crossover between both the main characters stories was cleverly imagined.
I could really feel like I was there at Hare's Landing finding the clues and piecing together all of the storylines.
The book was well written and the plot line was not overly complicated, so you could leave the book for a few days and not completely forget what was going on.
Overall it is a slightly lighter thriller than I would normally read, however I would recommend it to anyone interest in crime thrillers that are not centred around a character in the police.
