To be honest, the book wasn't really for me sadly.
the synopsis was very promising and the book did have some interesting plot lines but I wasn't a fan.

The setting of the Hare's Landing is very vividly describe and brought to life perfectly by. Caroline, a journalist from New York seeking time away from work and Rachel who is headed to West Cork in search of answers to what happened to a homeless man named Alfie. during their stay, the two women discover dark secrets and new information that will take them 30 years into the past.

I did like the shortness of chapters and the size of the font. however, the first few chapters were very busy and hard to keep track of. There was a lot of switching narratives from Caroline to Rachel and many backstories and points covered within only the first few chapters. As the story kicked in, I did start to enjoy it more.

I think it was worth the read and is a brilliant thriller but for me it took too long in developing it's plot.
