Right from the start I was absolutely hooked and I couldn't put the book down. Mystery and thrillers are my favourite genres so this was right up my street.

The story is told from the perspective of Rachel, who arrived at Hare's Landing after her husband was attacked and his friend died, and Caroline, who is a journalist who is at Hare's Landing to relax and take a break from work while a lawsuit is being settled.

The pair team up to solve the mysteries of both past and present. There are many twists and turns, and I did not find it predictable at all. At times I did feel like some parts were a little slow (I felt like the start could have been shortened slightly), but as soon as you get into the main part of the story the pace really picks up.

Both Rachel and Caroline were really likeable characters, and I also loved Jasper the dog!

If you like thriller's and mystery novels then this book is for you!
