Whilst I enjoyed the book and found it very easy to read I found the pace a bit too slow for me.

The story follows Rachel and Caroline, two strangers who find their paths cross in Ireland. Both gone away for personal reasons but end up embroiled in a mystery that has spanned decades.

The story is told in alternating chapters between Rachel and Caroline, developing the background for each character. I found Rachel to be a more interesting character this is probably due to the inclusion of her partner Hunter and her retired police dog Jasper (who I loved from the first introduction).

Overall I found the book easy as although the book is around 400 pages the chapters are small. I think it was worth the read and is a brilliant thriller but for me it took too long in developing it's plot and I found it more of a murder mystery than the spooky thriller that I was expecting.
