Rachel and Caroline both go to stay at Hare's landing in Ireland for different reasons. Caroline comes from New York where she works as a journalist whose career is hanging in the balance looking for solitude, and Rachel comes from London after her partner is attacked, and the man he was filming is found dead having previously mentioned Hare's landing.
The two quickly become friends, and are drawn into the mystery of the house, the death of its former owner, and the disappearance of a girl over 30 years ago. Despite horrendous weather, which is brilliantly written and really adds to the overall atmosphere of the book, and limited phone or internet signal, which hampers their attempts at investigation, the women make a break through...but will they be safe?
I enjoyed this book, it was written at a good pace, and Rachel and Caroline were strong leads
