After seeing the book cover, I nearly wrote this book off as being a certain type of historical fiction that is predictable and somewhat airy, but the blurb and the first impression suggest that there is more to it than that. I love the premise and can see the potential for the plot to be gripping - the blurb alone has me intrigued as to what the big mystery is about and what pivotal decision the heroine took in your youth. Am sufficiently interested and would like to read this book fully.
