Not a huge fan of Cold War novels but the engaging dual narrative appeals.

Despite not being keen on any novels that have the Cold War as an intrinsic part of the storyline I decided to read the first impression after having enjoyed the author’s financial thrillers and Icelandic crime novels. I was pleased that I did as I found it very easy to follow and the dual narrative format highly engaging. My concern is that as the novel progresses the detail on the communist revolution might become a little heavy and my interest could wane.
