This book was not at all what I expected! I expected it to be a dreary historical fiction but after just a couple of chapters I’m hooked.
I want to know how Hugh died, I want to know about Grams’ life and why there is such mystery shrouding it and I want to know who this mysterious Mr Swann is and what he spoke to Phil about!
The cover is pretty, but doesn’t reflect just how much of a mystery the story turns out to be. It reminds me of a classic romance novel rather than one that’s full of mystery and intrigue!
