The Diplomat wife is a historic story based in wartime Europe. As soon as I saw the cover of this book I knew the period the story was set in. This looks like it would be a good book and it certainly didn't disappoint. I think sometimes historical stories can just read like retellings of every other story but this but really felt like a new tale.
The way the story is written really allows yourself to immerse in the story. This means that once you've started you can't wait to get to the end. You just need to know what happened. Although not being the thought of book that I would pick up normally, I think it's been a brilliant book and definitely something that I would recommend to friends and family. From cover to cover I was hooked, I can't wait to read more from this author definitely someone to keep an eye on in future! I can't wait to read more !!!!
