While I absolutely loved the cover, the blurb and the settings of the book, I was surprised to find I wasn't drawn in by the First Look pages. I felt quite distant from the main characters. I suspect it may be a 'slow burn' kind of read, but sadly I don't feel intrigued enough to continue.
