An easy flowing style of writing that draws you quickly into the story. In the background of this tale is a tragedy in the family in the past casting a shadow over their present and at one point causing another tragedy with far-reaching effects. It is basically a love story about Alexa and Harvey which is beset by misunderstandings and wrong turnings. They both move away from each other, both physically and emotionally at times, but are constantly drawn together again. This makes it sound like a completely sad story, which it is not. There are a lot of happy times for the pair but just when you think they are sorted something else happens. Eventually all the problems are resolved but not necessarily in the way you think they will be. A good read.
