I love this kind of story and this book does not disappoint. I was hooked from the very first page. The story centres around Alexa and Harvey who have been friends since childhood in Cornwall, but on Alexa’s twelfth birthday her mother decides to take her to London to meet her estranged grandmother with disastrous results. This is when Alexa’s world changes and she is sent to boarding school where she finds a friend in one of her teachers who makes her see her future differently Through it all Harvey is always there to help and guide her.The story itself is set in Cornwall and Vienna, and the writing is so descriptive you can imagine yourself being there with the main characters This a well written story and I would like to read more by this author.
