What a compelling start to the book. I was rather disappointed to get to the end of the First Impression and very definitely wanted to keep reading. No clues to how this is going to pan out, or why Cassie is in hospital and I am eager to find out.
This is the second Caroline Bond I have had the pleasure to read and she certainly has a great perspective on family relationships, especially the nature of adopted families rather than "natural" ones.
