The Forgotten Sister has drawn me in so far. I love that the chapters are written from different character perspectives and that we have already had glimmers from the present and the past.
Cassie to begin with comes across as a strong young woman, however as we read more we begin to see her vulnerabilities and in particular her adoption. I am already intrigued to see how things will play out with this and what her relationships will be like with her adoptive parents/sister and if we will be introduce to her maternal mother.
I like the glimpse we have seen into the adoptive mother's past and how she so desperately wanted a child of her own. The writing shows the tenderness Grace has for Cassie, even in those early moments before she was her mother. I am looking forward to seeing this develop more as the book goes on.
