The jumps between time periods in Cassie's life immediately got me hooked with this novel. Within just a few chapters, I am already fascinated by the story and how it will unfold. I am also interested in seeing quite how dramatic her adoption story is and whether the story is as emotionally told as the first look makes it seem.
