Adoption is always a tricky subject, particularly when the child decides to trace their birth family. This was a nicely written, steadily building story, with several twists and turns that you don't expect. The characters are well formed, particularly the younger sister, Erin, who was in an un enviable position. I didn't like Leah to start with, then she grew on me, then I was disappointed in her, before warming ot her again. I didn't like the ending, it left lots of unanswered questions, which obviously paves the way for a sequel. It was one of those books I kept looking forward to going back to, and although not exactly a book I couldn't put down, it was heading in that direction. I thoroughly recommend it.
