The Forgotten Sister is a well-written novel that skillfully explores the effect of adoption on family relationships. I particularly liked the sensitive and in-depth way in which the author reflects on the individual perspectives and emotions of the characters in this book, allowing the reader to better understand how each character's traits and actions affect the family dynamics and add to the plot.

This book was a deviation from my usual genre of crime fiction, and I have to admit that the story line did not move me as much as it should have, considering the theme. However, it did get me thinking about the adoption system and the difficult decisions that families and adoption officials have to make.
