Another book by Caroline Bond that pulls at the heart strings. I found this book emotional and a roller coaster at times, page turning and very effective.
It starts with a phone call that all parents dread,... A call from the hospital about your child. Rushing to the emergency ward and then the story goes back about 4 months and explains how it started.
Cassie is adopted and she has always known, but she has started having dreams, images of her early life and now she desperately wants to find out her history. What she finds is not what she had imagined. Cassie already has a sister (Erin) in her family with her adopted parents, but remembering someone else who she believes is her mother makes her doubt what she has always been brought up to believe.
Who is her mum? Then she meets someone who knows her past and who she really is but not is as it seems, Leah is her real sister... What does she want, who is Naz and where is her mum?
There is a lot of emotional pages and you can feel the pain and hurt from all the characters and even the ones that you know are not pleasant.
A very well written book that covers all angles. Another great one from this author.
