Despite the fact all I've read is a small extract from the whole book, it brought me to tears. The story so far has been so simple yet so touching and emotional. I'll definitely be buying this book so that i can finish reading it.... It's just one of those books that lures you in and keeps you wanting more.
The plot of the story is very simple but is brought to life in such an extraordinary way which makes it better than any other version. I personally love how it is a diverse story with the adopted child being implied to be black with her 'Afro hair'.
My personal favourite part of the story so far is when Grace, Cassie's (the adopted child) adopted mother, tries to gently brush Cassie's hair and it reminds of the first time that she did so when Cassie was a tiny, little and timid being.
