When I initially read the blurb of this book and wrote my first impression, I was really excited. Recommended for fans of Jodi Piccoult and Jojo Notes, I thought this book would be right up my street!
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. As much as I tried to, I just couldn't bring myself to finish the book, which was the first time I've given up on a book this year!
From what I gathered in the eighteen chapters I read, 'The Forgotten Sister' tells the story of Cassie, an adopted seventeen year old who decides that she wants to find out more about her birth mother.
The part of the story that I read was quite slow. It appears that someone started to follow Cassie and observe her life. My first thought was it was her birth mother, but from the title, it's more likely that Cassie has a (half?) sister. Who knows?
